“Miss Kyla, when will my school clothes be done?” asked Musa.
“Not for a while.” I
told him.
“Tomorrow?”
“No.”
“Monday?”
“No.”
“Tuesday?”
“I don’t know…maybe.”
Well, to the great joy of all the kids at Mavuno’s Early
Learning Center the uniforms are done. I
finished sewing pants for all the kids and picked up some shirts in town the
other day. I started the project in
December but ran out of cloth. I finally
got some more cloth and finished them to discover that the kids had grown since
December. How dare they! So I had to remake several. But they finally all have uniforms. They are all very excited to come to school
in their little matching uniforms!
